Berlin is inarguably not just the capital city but also the creative center of Germany. Numerous events offer the chance to connect and network, and they are the beating heart of the city. The attraction to Berlin has gone beyond the borders of Europe a long time ago: The capital city draws worldwide attention in political, cultural, and sporting terms. Alongside creators, start-ups, founders, and entrepreneurs are moving to the city. The geographical position and international flair make Berlin the hub of market economy in Europe and beyond.
The campus of University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE) lies right at the heart of the multicultural metropolis, in the immediate vicinity of Potsdamer Platz. Thanks to modern digital technology, students from different cultural institutions can cooperate across the borders. Moreover the new campus creates the optimal environment for studying and exploring. Campus Berlin is a meeting place for artistic and creative minds and hands, where students and professors from many different countries and disciplines – economics, art, and culture – meet and learn from one another.
Once you leave campus, you step into the fast-paced, creative and big city lifestyle with any number of cafés, bars, restaurants, museums, and historical sites all virtually within walking distance. Also, the headquarters of many large international companies are in the immediate vicinity, such as the Axel Springer media group. The nearest shopping mall is just a few streets away. All corners of Berlin are easily accessible via the excellent public transportation network. Representatives of the worlds of business, media and Berlin sports readily and frequently visit University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE). Over the last semester, Udo Röbel, former editor-in-chief of BILD, Ansgar Niggemann, manager of ALBA, and others visited our students, held guest lecture, and afterwards told some inside stories in a Q&A session.
