At BiTS, the programs of study are divided into three departments. The International Service Industries department covers the realm of international service management, including tourism, hotel, sport and event management. The Business department offers a large number of courses of study in the areas of business administration, business psychology, finance and controlling, corporate governance and (business) law. Finally, the Media & Communication department brings together all the communication-related programs.

Here are more details on the individual departments:

  • Business

The Business department provides a sound, practical education in the core areas of business administration. The principle of the university and all programs of study is to instill and promote entrepreneurship. All programs of study include subjects that develop personal skills. This is because in the real world of business, creative thinking and approaches are required, now more than ever before. You are educated and supported in your development through excellent instruction and tried-and-tested management tools.

  • International Service Industries

The International Service Industries department is the most international department at BiTS. It is concerned with the complex and exciting challenges related to service management, including hospitality, tourism, and sport management. The department offers an applied, theory-based management education, focusing on highly topical international issues. The courses in the various disciplines, which focus on business and science, deal with planning, organization, and controlling duties as well as the basics of business administration and economics.

  • Media & Communication

Facebook and Twitter, Scholz & Friends, and RTL – this department is concerned with communication in all its facets. What’s special is its combination of creative applied knowledge and economic understanding. The department has close ties to the important players in the media and communications field, among them the ProSiebenSat.1 Group, Axel Springer SE, and major creative agencies. Our associations with SMEs also play an important role: Graduates will find that the department offers plenty of scope to explore these firms in-depth.
