Since digitalization proceeds further and further, we need to think about how to playfully prepare the next generations in the rightful use of media and technology.
The question now is: How could the Toy 2.0 look like? And how can classic toys be developed to meet today’s new challenges?
That’s why the shopping and comparison portal Netzsieger is looking for students, designers, educators, pedagogues and creative minds in general in this year’s Future Design Award.
Category 1: Design of a Toy 2.0
A toy design for children ages 3 to 8 is wanted. Focus should be on the digital elements. Please describe your design additionally in a brief concept paper (max. one A4 page). Evaluation factors are creativity, design, material and relation to the user.
Category 2: Design for a media educational concept on the subject of „Digital Education“
Develop a one- to two-page concept paper for digital toys (max. 2 A4 pages). It shall show the possibilities of the promotion of digital literacy for children ages 3 to 8. Evaluation factors are creativity, educational impact and conclusiveness of the concept.
Deadline is June 15th, 2018.
A five-member jury of designers and pedagogues will decide on the winners. The award is funded with a prize money of up to 1.500€.
