3rd place for University of Applied Sciences Studies at the Fair Trade University Competition

Students develop trade concept for natural food Grell and score points in the competition

Six Hamburg universities with 110 students entered the "Hamburg! Handel! Fair!" University competition. Right in the middle of it, our creative winning team from the 3rd semester Marketing Management: Anna Hollander, Claire Nesseler, Diana Hampel, Verena Schmiedler, Maximilian Erdmann and Sebastian Stegmann.

The aim of the competition is to strengthen fair trade in and around Hamburg. To this end, the students should "work out new ways of better marketing fair products and introduce a broad public to hamburger companies committed to fair trade".

Overall, the group had five weeks to turn their ideas into a crisp concept and convince their client and project partner, Grell Naturkost. During their project, the students were accompanied by the program director Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Merkle and the lecturer Prof. Dr. Cornelia Ackermann.

The competition was a great success for our students. With their B2B concept, they have convinced both Grell Naturkost and the jury and overtook the third place at the "Hamburg! Handel! Fair!".
