Campus Altona: Farewell to the first Master’s graduates

On October 29 Master’s degrees were awarded to the graduates of summer semester 2016 in the main lecture hall of Campus Altona in Hamburg. One good reason to celebrate: The certificates were awarded to graduating Master’s students for the first time ever at our new location. 12 graduates beamed with joy and held their certificates in their hands.
It was a “first” not only because it was the first awarding of Master’s degrees on campus, but also because the graduating students were wearing gowns for the first time in the history of BiTS.
This was a great scene that immediately caught the eye of President Prof. Stefan Stein, who gave an impressive commencement speech following the Head of Campus Prof. Andreas Moring, in which he sent the young graduates to their successful and happy future paths.
Following the speeches, Student Services Manager Sabine Westermann and Prof. Andreas Moring celebrated the graduates by each telling anecdotes from their BiTS stories.
With champagne and nibbles, families then congratulated the graduates and photographed the occasion which will be remembered for a very long time to come.

Finally there was a celebratory dinner at a Greek restaurant to round off a successful graduation day of “firsts” in the annals of BiTS history.
