Statement on the article by Prof. Dr. Stefan Chatrath

The University of Applied Sciences Europe (UE) disapproves of the opinion expressed by Prof. Dr. Stefan Chatrath in his article entitled: “The Sufferings of Young Torunarigha” of 24.02.2020 on the racist insults to the detriment of the professional football player Jordan Torunarigha. This is contrary to the principles of our university. As an international institution, the University of Applied Sciences Europe is committed to its moral standards.

As a university, we clearly dissociate ourselves from the statements of Prof. Dr. Chatrath. As an international university we stand for pluralism and diversity.

We have no understanding for such statements.

The university management has therefore released Prof. Dr. Chatrath from his teaching activities at the university with immediate effect until further notice.
