UE Wins German Customer Service Award

UE Wins German Customer Service Award 2021

Good service pays off even in difficult times. Despite the challenges the economy has faced due to the pandemic, the German Institute for Service Quality and the news channel n-tv were again able to award companies with the German Customer Service Award this year. University of Europe for Applied Sciences is delighted to announce it has won an award in the category ‘Education – Service by Phone and Email’.

The German Customer Service Award is intended to provide orientation for consumers, as awards are only given to companies that convince their customers across the board. The award is based on a comprehensive annual evaluation of 54 studies and customer surveys conducted by the German Institute for Service Quality. Within the framework of the studies and consumer surveys, more than 1,700 companies were examined on the basis of around 12,000 undercover test contacts and almost 90,000 customer opinions.

Markus Hamer, Managing Director of the German Institute for Service Quality, gave a positive overall summary of the survey: “Service in this country is at a good level. The fact that there has even been a slight improvement compared to the last survey must be emphasised against the background of the difficult environment. The best performance was delivered by the winners of the German Customer Service Award.”

Lars van der Leeuw-Holtvoeth, Chief Organisation Officer at UE, was also pleased with the award: “Students always come first for us at UE and we are pleased to have done so well in the test. We are always striving to keep our services in all areas of the university at the best level and to continue to improve. Thank you also to all the staff who make this possible every day.”

The award is presented in 27 categories, such as health, insurance and finance, energy, travel and tourism or education. The winners of the German Customer Service Award also include companies that have long set standards in their industry in terms of service and have already been among the award winners several times.

Congratulations to UE for this outstanding achievement!
